I realize I've not said anything regarding the catastrophic earthquake/tsunami that hit in the Indian Ocean. I'm not sure what I can say that has not been said. There is so much to be sad about. It probably will not surprise you that I am able to politicize this, but this is something to consider: Cost of War. So much wasted for no Constitution-pickin' reason. So much else that could be done.

To add a little more to the sadness of the season, a friend of mine received word that her husband, who is in the Army, is being shipped to Iraq in early January. He is 23. This is his fifth time being called up for active duty since he enlisted. The horrors he has seen... Keep a place for him in your heart.

Do you meditate? Do you have a god to whom you can pray? Can you have positive thoughts and make positive actions? The world needs us now.
